Port Lincoln // FOUR

Today Roxy and Don planned to go on a boat trip. I stood up quite late and  had breakfast. Don was working on the fence in the garden while Roxy and me had a coffee. Oops...
We packed our things together and put everything on the boat. They live beneath a channel and they have a connection to the boat from their own garden... Awesome, isn't it?
So we drove slowly out of the channel and out of the marina/harbour. It was a beautiful day. The temperature was just perfect and there was no single cloud in the sky. It was so nice sitting in the boat while driving on the ocean... the wind in the hair, nice temperature, lovely landscape and awesome view... So we stood still next to a big island close to Port Lincoln. That was the first time I tried fishing in my life. Me and Roxy were fishing while Don drove the boat slowly along the island... Unfortunately we caught nothing. So we decided to go a bit further and stop for a swim. We stopped the boat when the water started to be a icy clear light blue. They chucked the anker in the water and gave me flippers and diving-glasses (haha, how do you call them?) and a snorkel. Awesome. I jumped into the water with Roxy and I swam along the seagrass with my GoPro. It was very eerie because the seaweed made the water very dark. So I decided to stay in the area with no seaweed. I found a fork! In the water... I saw somethng shining and silver and digged it out of the sand. A beautiful nice shaped fork. But I left it there, I mean, what should I do with a fork... Roxy went looking for shells. They have lots of very big pefect shells in their house which they found on their own. After that we went a bit further, we drove in the other direction to the other side of the island and had another swim. It was so nice. That day a got a very nice tan on my shoulders and my arms. I look quite orange now... Anyway. We drove a bit further out to the ocean to catch whitelings. I fished quite a few! And the thing is, they have to have a certain lenght that you are allowed to keep them. They have to be longer than 30cm. So I caught a few who were shorter than this so we had to chuck them back in the sea. I also caught some other fish (I don't remember the names) but we didn't keep them. After we had a snack we drove to a rough coast with rocks to fish squids. I caught all in all 9 fish! And one squid was just huge. I really liked fishing, it was awesome... such a good feeling... I really want to do it again. I hope soon. Thank you Don & Roxy to spend such a beautiful day with me, I had so much fun. We ate dinner on the boat, we had salad, chicken, bread and wine. When the sun started to set we drove back. They let me drive the boat for a bit... That was cool, too. The sea was a bit rough so when we had a bit of a velocity we jumped over the waves which felt like hitting the pure concrete... Was a bit of a pain but fun anyway as we had a high speed. When they allowed me to drive the boat it was already dark and we had a high speed. Fortunately there weren't many waves anymore so it wasn't that painful anymore. Behind us a beautiful red moon started to rise. It was a perfect night. I went to bed very very tired after such an awesome day. I slept soooo good. Just like all these days I've been there.
