Byron Bay

I met Simon in the Cape Byron Lodge Hostel at approximately 6pm. My flight was calm and the busdrive took ages. But I made it. It was raining very heavily and it wouldn't stop for a few days.
To celebrate our reunion me and Simon had a few drinks in the CBD and we tried not to get too wet as it was raining. So we walked back not very late and sat to some people in the hostel and we had a fun chat with people from Fiji, Japan, Argentina and other countries. Later on we decided to look for the beach as it stopped raining. Because of the fact that we had a few drinks and our phones broke down we had no chance to find it. WWe got lost and we decided to knock on doors to ask for the way. We wanted to go home as it was late and we were running around with no idea for too long. That was the best what could have happened to us, really. It was about one o'clock in the morning. Imagine...
Anyway we knocked on different doors but obviously no one opened but one old lady in a very luxurious house said we shall come in. The woman had a cat and they were both in the living room. She was very fat and sat in that chair which seemed like she never leaves it. So she asked us what we were doing and offered us lemon soda and cheese. That was so random... We had a good talk and she helped us finding our way. So we had a look at Google maps on her computer and it said we should just go out of the house, turn left twice and there is our hostel. If it was that easy... We went outside and it just looked so different? Again  we couldn't find our way because it looks everywhere the same!!! I saw some lights in a house and went to the window "Helooow, we're lost, can you help us finding our way?" We were so close... we were about 2 min away from our hostel... Than we finally found it.

Byron Bay is awesome. Everyone is dressed like a Hippie, there are heaps of tiny shops with a thousand of small things like colorful stones and bracelets... stickers, little boxes for jewellery, candles and so on. Lots and lots of palm trees, very green as it is very humid in Byron Bay.

Another day we actually found the beach we were looking for the other day. Its a huuuuge beach and there was just no one! Simon went for a swim while I sat on the beach. I was too scared to go in the water because the waves were just too messy. And it was not nice weather ...

For a day trip we went to Nimbin. Thats a small town up in the "mountains". There we had lunch, walked around a bit, talked to a few people, bought some useless stuff and went back home.

We had a good time in Byorn Bay, it is so beautiful and so easy going... you would love it guys. I wanted to show you some more pics but I cant upload them here as I forgot my cable.
