Can I tell you something? There are a few questions you always ask or get asked in Hostels... and by the time you can get annoyed by these questions.
1. Where are you from?
2. How long are you been travelling for?
3. When do you go back home?
4. What was your last destination?
5. Where are you going to?
6. What did you do back home?
7. Are you working or just travelling?
You kind of can't skip these questions because they're essential for a proper conversation. My travelling mates might laugh now because it's sooo right, isn't it?
This morning I stood up at 8.30 am, pulled myself to the hostels kitchen and made myself toast with peanutbutter and jam. I drank a cup of tea and after that I grabed my book and sat in the hammock for a while. I planned on going to the library, it opened at 9.30am so I had to wait a bit.
Rainbow Beach's library is cute. I sat on the computer there to write applications. While doing that I noticed that it is way much easier to write in English. You have easier rules with capital letters and more. It's been ages since I last wrote in German properly, so it took me a bit of an effort. I wrote two applications. After that I organised myself on going to Great Keppel island, that took me heaps of phonecalls, also for the bus. The woman on the phone was so nice, I'm staying two nights on Great Keppel Island. Than I go back to Rockhampton and further north. She asked me if I was alone. Yes I am... Than she reminded me that it was Valentines Day on my arrival, she mails me some flyers for a sunset cruise on that day anyway. *foreveralone* hahaha
After organising all this stuff I went to the post office to send some of my stuff back home, so that I don't have to carry so much stuff with me. Travellers know how it is, you buy new shirts and a small something there and here. I also threw away some things to make my bag lighter. It is amazing what 3 kilos less can do!
Everything is very close in Rainbow Beach, you just have to crosa the street, doesn't matter what you need.
In the afternoon I sat again in the hammock with my book 'Game of Thrones'. After a few lines reading I fell asleep like a stone. I woke up at 4 pm with an awful pain in my neck. That's what happens. It was just so nice warm and comfortable.
Still dizzy from my nice sleep I observed some people. In this hostel we have one big bathroom, they call it a Shoilet (Shower - Toilet). In there there is a shower and a toilet. So big privacy. But it's not the only Shoilet we have... There was this guy that wanted to go in THAT Shoilet and was waiting for an hour to get in. I know it because he told everyone. Even after my dinner I still saw him creeping around that Shoilet... Stupid people. Funny... Later on the two French girls I met yesterday came up to me and asked if I wanted to join them in the pool. Of course!
When I got back in my room there was Tan! So funny, what a coincidence. We said that this time we'll definitely switch numbers, as we forgot it the last time. At the moment it is awesomely hot in my room and not comfy, but I'm tired.
I talked to another guy (I don't know his name), he's from Northern England and about 45 y/o. He wouldn't stop talking for a while... That was kind of annoying, because I was already in my bed with my book again and just wanted my peace. Haha... poor guy, took all his courage to talk to me and than I refused talking to him.
